Book of Life Chapter V and you wrote it

Happy Spring, It's time to introduce 2014's Chapter V for The Book of Life Collection.

Deciding what new pages would best meet the year unfolding was tough.
Patrycja, Jolie and I sat with the suggestions many of you sent throughout March.
I'm still smiling with gratitude for the beautiful and creative participation.

To expand the sentiments of  I am.. I dream.. I breathe..

Here we are at the doorstep of another year without much time to contemplate it in the busyness
of the holidays. I'd love to share my Dec 31 ritual and invite you to try this. If today is too soon,
anytime between now and Chinese New Year, January 31st would feel good.

Take 2 sheets of paper, lined or plain, a canvas or dedicate a couple of pages from your journal
to this reflection. Sit silently with your favorite beverage in a non demanding environment
and reflect on the year closing. Let your mind take you to it's highlights and low
lights and write them down. It can be physical, travel, emotional, historical, work
disappointments,
challenges, lessons or accomplishments. Whatever will help to embrace your
year in a wholesome overview. You could even do it in pictures if you like.

When your collage feels complete, sit with it for awhile and thank every item and person you've listed,
even the painful memories as they come as teachers in our lives. Ask yourself what you're
willing to let go of, are grateful for and want to nourish..

Start laying out the projections for 2014 on the other sheet.. Disciplines you'd like to hone,
knowledge you'd like to attain, places you'd like to see, relationships you'd like to flourish and
elements you'd like to give more of.
Have fun with it. A cellular shift seems to happen.
I'd love  to hear your stories;-)

I've attached my 2013/14  as an example. This exercise is a creative playful way
to help us see the unfolding our lives through a broader lens and attune to our optimum focus.

Let 2014 bring you the most significant picture of happiness
you've ever known.

Peace in your thanksgiving

Come, imagine yourself upon this hammock.
Every ounce of tension, anger and fear has left
you with a gentle rhythymic sway and the
breeze of the mountain air caresses your face.
There is nothing left but a gentle gratitude for all the
moments and all the people that have touched your life
and you smile.

1440 moments of every day brings you a teacher. It could
be an encounter, a smile, a book, bird or tree. Even those
who make you suffer, bless them as they brought teachings.

If you're reading this you are a part of my life
and I am grateful.

First and foremost, thank you for taking time out of your full day to read these words.
You being here inspires me to push my boundaries with hopes that the fruit of it
feeds the hearts of us all.

As most of you know in the jewelry we create, the fact that it's jewellery is the least important
element to me. The most important and what puts a skip in my step is being able to
provide a way that we can walk daily with words that inspire, ground and teach us
how to reach for the courage to be totally present, alive and heart centred.

This last weekend I completed my certificate in Contemplative End of Life Care
and home funeral options. WOW, it was a weekend of beauty. Powerfully deep humbling beauty.
Conscious living, conscious dying. Imagine creating your birth into afterlife as the most
important awe inspiring gathering of your life, orchestrated by family and friends.
I didn't even know that it was an option to have a home funeral. Did you?
In any case, I now feel like a volunteer fireman and hope that lots of others will embark
upon these studies so that every community know the full spectrum of choice and can support
each other in time of need.

and no, I have no intention to stop making jewellery. I see its benefits, and hope it
affords me the luxury of time and resources to support the other work.

Fill you with knowing that everything is perfect the way it is?
